In this video series, you will get to know some of the trees that live in abundance across the Pacific Northwest region. The first video will give you an opportunity to become more familiar with the forest that will receive you in the Salt Spring Centre of Yoga. Then, we invite you to find a spot outdoors - this can be in your garden, local park, a forest of your liking - to experience a guided mediation called “Pleasure of Presence”; it will be an invitation to immerse yourself fully in nature using all of your senses. This meditation will take about 10 minutes.

Once you found a spot outdoors for the ‘Pleasure of Presence’ meditation, you may sit down, stand, or lay down on the ground . You may also remove your shoes and be barefoot if that feels good. Use HEADPHONES if you just want to listen to the voice of the video. You may keep your eyes open to look around, soften your gaze, or you may relax and close your eyes completely for the meditation.

Once you feel grounded, take a look at the last video in the series. This video will give you an opportunity to connect with your intentions for the nature immersion in Salt Spring, it will be an open invitation to reflect about your motivations, aspirations, and what is important for you as you embark on this journey. This reflection will take about 15-20 minutes.

For this activity, find a quiet place to create an intentional space. Make yourself comfortable, maybe light a candle, dim the lights, and then listen to the next video with your eyes closed.

You may write down your intentions for the nature immersion, knowing that as we get closer to the ferry ride to Salt Spring, these intentions may keep evolving. Maintain an open mind and heart, the invitation is for you to notice and to reflect on what matters to you.
